By supporting Area 51 Education and John Dewey Specialist College, you are helping us to provide assistive technology like the communication aid in the photo, adaptive equipment to enable curriculum access and more specialist facilities like a sensory room or therapy suite.

Right now, we are looking to fund up to 10 iPads with a specialist communication app called TD Snap (Dynavox). This portable technology allows our learners to find their voice, express opinions and contribute in class, in the community and at home. It is life-changing for those young people with communication difficulties who would otherwise be considered non-verbal.
